At the end of a three-hole playoff, the Swede Jesper Svensson won the Porsche Singapore Classic over the Thai Kiradech Aphibarnrat. Turning pro in 2019, he won his first victory at the age of 28 on the DP World Tour. Matthieu Pavon continues his good start to the season with a 5th place this week. It was the big return of the French number 1 on the DP World Tour after the start of the year entirely devoted to the American tour.

Players from the DP World Tour and Matthieu Pavon for his big return to the circuit of the old continent played this week in Singapore for the Porsche Singapore Classic. The victory was decided after three playoff holes between the Swede Jesper Svensson and the Thai Kiradech Aphibarnrat.

The Thai hung on until the end, having not won since 2018. After an eagle on the 72nd hole, he putted to stay alive on the second sudden death hole. Finally, he concedes the tournament on the 3rd hole to his opponent.

For his first full season, Jesper Svensson adds his first victory to his list by lifting the Porsche Singapore Classic trophy. He is propelled thanks to his success to 3rd position in the Race to Dubai.

Matthieu Pavon made his comeback this week on the European tour. Since his qualification during the DP World Tour Championship for the PGA Tour, a lot has happened for the Bordeaux player who now positions himself as a leader in European and world golf. Pavon had a solid week for a 5th place finish in Singapore. Too bad for his moving day in 71 (-1), which places the French far away from playing for victory.
