PGA Catalunya presents its new wellness center
PGA Catalunya after several months of work and 5 million euros of investment will inaugurate on April 16 a new wellness center offering its guests and golfers a range of experiences of physical and emotional well-being.
The wellness center is a holistic haven that encompasses movement, recovery and relaxation, offering both traditional and cutting-edge therapies and expertise.
The philosophy of the new center reflects that of PGA Catalunya, Spain's first golf resort: to provide a space where people can disconnect from the world and reconnect with themselves, relax in nature and spend precious moments with their family and friends.
David Plana, CEO of PGA Catalunya, said: “After the experience of last year, the world realized the importance of well-being. For us, this is something that has long been at the heart of the experiences we offer and that is why our promise to customers is to play well, to stay well. "
“The opening of the wellness center - surrounded by pine forests, lakes and countryside mountains outside of Barcelona - is another important step towards our goal of being one of the main destinations of golf and wellness around the world, and we look forward to welcoming residents, members and guests. "
Located next to the 5-star Camiral hotel, in the heart of the resort, the wellness center is designed to invite the natural environment inside, thus creating a haven of peace away from the stresses of everyday life.
Its design, designed by renowned firm Lagula Arquitectes, is inspired by Japanese principles of unaltered natural beauty, tranquil solitude and simplicity, and blends in perfectly with the surrounding landscape and gardens.
Guests will reconnect with nature as they discover different parts of the 1m² space, which includes nine treatment rooms, gymnastics and yoga rooms, and thermal and water facilities located in areas that mirror gardens, forest glades and waterfalls.
Healing techniques are customized according to clients' needs and accelerated by high-tech therapy normally only found in clinics or elite athlete facilities, including cryotherapy, vitamin infusions, l hyperbaric oxygen and photomodulation. PGA Catalunya works in conjunction with some of the most respected experts to provide these services. Among the partners are the world leader MECOTEC for cryotherapy treatments (PGA Catalunya is the first destination in Spain to have the MECOTEC double chamber cabin) and NADclinic London under the expertise of Dr Saskia Kloppenburg for IV infusion programs. .
The wellness center complements other PGA Catalunya facilities that support and promote physical and emotional well-being.
Destination of the European Tour, its two world-class courses, the highly challenging Stadium with its elevated start and the Tour, which is shorter and more user-friendly, are carefully designed to offer benefits that go beyond the euphoria of a good hit. Both courses are also GEO certified - the international golf ecolabel - and benefit from the expertise of a full-time biologist.
The Golf Hub combines the best performance and coaching golf technology with the enjoyment for all of a range of Toptracer games. It is home to the Sergio Garcia Junior Golf Academy.
Well-being is also integrated into the real estate of the complex, which will soon include the recently presented Well-Villa, an innovative property specially designed to enrich the well-being of its occupants.
