In May 2022, oenophiles, sommeliers and wine lovers will have the pleasure of attending the 5th edition of the "La Paulée" event organized by Constance Hotels & Resorts. This unique experience dedicated to gastronomy and oenology will take place from May 16 to 21, 2022 at Constance Prince Maurice and Constance Belle Mare Plage.

What is “La Paulée”?

The gastronomic rendezvous of the Constance hotel group, La Paulée, is a vibrant tribute to La Paulée de Meursault, a traditional event celebrating the end of the grape harvest in Burgundy. It aims to create an oenological experience for guests and helps our sommeliers to enrich their expertise and progress towards excellence. This annual meeting has become a real benchmark for wine lovers. La Paulée by Constance Hotels & Resorts brings together personalities from the wine world to lead workshops and carry out practical training for our sommeliers.

Sharing and connoisseurs

In the spectacular setting of the Constance Prince Maurice and Constance Belle Mare Plage hotels, many passionate connoisseurs share their knowledge with pleasure. As in previous years, the oenological and gastronomic week of La Paulée will welcome renowned winegrowers from France: Julie & Xavier Gonet Medeville (Champagne & Bordeaux), Romain Guiberteau (Vallée de la Loire de Saumur), Marie Perret (Vallée du Rhône Nord ) and Nicolas Rossignol (Burgundy).

Communication, exchange and sharing will be at the heart of this great meeting and it is a real opportunity for the sommeliers of Constance who will benefit from these very useful and instructive “trainings”. Constance chefs will also prepare a number of dinners paired with great wines.

  • Monday May 16: Domaine Gonet-Médeville at the Archipel restaurant (Constance Prince Maurice)
  • Tuesday May 17: Domaine Guiberteau at the Indigo restaurant (Constance Belle Mare Plage)
  • Thursday May 19: Domaine André Perret at the Barachois restaurant (Constance Prince Maurice)
  • Friday May 20: Domaine Nicolas Rossignol at the Blue Penny Cellar (Constance Belle Mare Plage)
  • Saturday May 21: Paulée night at the Archipel restaurant (Constance Prince Maurice)

On Friday May 20, the “Best Sommelier of La Paulée” competition will take place at the Deer Hunter restaurant (Constance Belle Mare Plage). This epicurean week will end with a delicious gastronomic feast orchestrated by Swedish chef Mikael Svensson (one Michelin Star chef – Kontrast Restaurant Oslo) to delight the taste buds of all guests.
