The sixth edition of the Beachcomber Golf Cup is officially launched! With a greensome formula, the grand final in Mauritius, on the legendary Paradis Golf Club course, promises to be exciting. Qualifications have started in 24 clubs across France and will continue until the end of September.

Beachcomber Golf Cup: Heading for Mauritius!Using its famous unique and innovative format, match play over six holes, the Beachcomber Golf Cup returns to its original formula: the greensome.

The objective is to offer clubs that have adhered to the concept the greatest organizational freedom. Some choose a knockout competition, where duos will compete this summer to qualify for the final. Others opt for a group model of 4 teams, which guarantees them to offer a minimum of three six-hole matches to each duo and allows the competition to be launched by bringing together all the competitors on the same day.

New for 2024 is the possibility of organizing a first round over 18 holes to select the eight duos who will compete in match play over six holes starting in the quarters. What does not change: only one team will have the privilege of playing the final in Saint-Germain in the hope of leaving for Mauritius in May 2025!

Antoine Robin, co-founder of come#together, organizing company, justifies these choices: “The six-hole format, doubles and match play are original and fun ingredients which are the hallmark of our competition which tries to meet the expectations of current golfers. This year, to make life easier for clubs, we have taken up the suggestion of some of them who offer a first round over 18 holes, which is a new option to launch your qualification. »

To participate, simply register directly with one of the 24 clubs participating in the competition. Qualifications began in March for certain clubs and will last until the end of September. The registration cost is determined by each club, and can vary depending on the status of the player, whether he is a member, subscriber or simple visitor.

Three highlights

The Beachcomber Golf Cup, en route to Mauritius still takes place in three phases:

•From March to September = regional qualification in 24 clubs, spread throughout France to be open to the greatest number of licensees.

•October 7 = the final on the prestigious course of Saint-Germain (78) will bring together the winning teams of the selection organized in their club. The “Champions League” type formula (in groups of 4) creates a dramatic atmosphere during this exceptional day.

•In May 2025 = the Grand Final at theMauritius for the four best teams at the end of the final.

The Indian Ocean island is a destination particularly popular with golfers. The group Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels offers 4 resorts around the golf course:

•The Trou aux Biches and the Canonnier to the North, around the Mont Choisy le Golf course

•Paradis and Dinarobin to the south, around the Paradis Golf Club course.

After four editions at Trou aux Biches Beachcomber Resort & Spa, the Grand Final will take place for the second time at the magnificent Dinarobin Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa and on the legendary route of Paradise Golf Club.
And to complete this exceptional experience, golfers will have the pleasure of sharing their passion with Antoine Schwartz. The former professional player will be sponsor of the event and will provide practitioners with his talent and expertise during clinics that are sure to be unforgettable for participants.

Rémi Sabarros, Director Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels / France-Belgium-Luxembourg: “We are delighted to be the title sponsor of this innovative event in the world of golf for the 6th consecutive year. It is this same passion for this sport that drives us and we have of course decided to once again support this unique competition. It is always a pleasure to welcome the finalists of the Beachcomber Golf Cup each year to our hotels and this year it will be at the Dinarobin Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa, a 5-star luxury hotel, at the foot of Morne Brabant, classified Unesco World Heritage. Benefiting from the best climate on the island, the hotel beach is the privileged witness to sumptuous sunsets. The Paradis Golf Club, the only 18-hole course within a hotel, will this year be the playground for our grand finalists. The course was designed for golfers of all levels and has completely integrated into its environment, with the first 9 holes playing facing Le Morne and the last 9 on the edge of the lagoon. A delight for all golfers. But be careful, although it may seem easy due to its short distance of 5600 meters, the swirling wind is often the master of the game!”

Antoine Schwartz, sponsor of the Beachcomber Golf Cup : “I am very happy and proud to be the sponsor of the Beachcomber Golf Cup again this year. I will be present alongside the participants to share our common passion during the final at the Golf de Saint-Germain but also at the grand final in Mauritius in a heavenly setting. Rare are competitions for amateurs in doubles with such innovative and exciting game formats. Until then, good preparation to all and looking forward to meeting the selected teams at Dinarobin Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa in May 2025.”
