From La Baule to La Baule, the loop is complete! The last stage of the Rallye des Princesses, after these five days of automotive adventure for our female duos, consisted of making a loop leaving and returning from and to La Baule, an original way to close this 21st chapter.

Our competitors hit the road with their exceptional car for the very last time in Morbihan, between land and ocean. Three regularity zones punctuated this last day around the Morbihan Golf Natural Park and the Guérande Salt Marshes. Between fresh water and salt water, the crews had to show serenity and concentration to avoid the many navigational pitfalls that spiced up this final test.

The regularity zones will have given drivers and co-drivers a hard time. Errors on the direction to take will have led some crews in the wrong directions, or dead ends. During these five days, the U-turns will have been customary, some crews told us that they had aches. Driving a classic vehicle means doing without power steering and having much less maneuverable cars in your hands, but all of them rose to the challenge brilliantly, regardless of the classification.

After 1500 kilometers traveled between Paris, Le Touquet, Deauville, Dinard and La Baule, it is time to unveil the final podium to end this feminine automotive parenthesis in style. They dominated the standings from start to finish with their Chevrolet Corvette C2, with team #41 Carole Gratzmuller and Elisa Laurent taking first place. Duo already winners in 2019, driver and co-driver are on their 6th and 4th victories respectively, a nice record for this crew who has competition in their blood. The duo Marina Orlandi Contucci and Stéphane Heymans #54 in their Lancia Beta Montecarlo are second, a very good place for this shock duo which has several participations under its belt. The third step of the podium goes to Ambre Boucherie and Stéphanie Wante #36 in the Chevrolet Corvette C3 Stingray.

Intense, many kilometres, sporty, emotional, a fantastic journey, a human adventure, great encounters…. These were the words of the drivers and co-drivers at the end of this 21st Rallye des Princesses Richard Mille. See you next year, from June 3 to 8, 2023.
