Drawing Now Art Fair is in Paris

For several days, the Carreau du Temple will beat to the rhythm of the drawing, offering several highlights: exhibitions, performances and talks. Without forgetting the events offered by the 173 participating galleries on their stands, program to be found on our social networks.

A program of talks around feminism

The talks program will give pride of place to contemporary drawing and will give the floor to various speakers and art professionals (artists, curators, critics, collectors, directors of institutions, etc.). These meetings with international personalities will take place at Espace Talks on level -1 of the Carreau du Temple. Each talk lasts 1 hour. To be found on: www.youtube.com/drawingnowparis.

We can find the prism of the feminine Thursday, March 23 at 15 p.m., a tribute to Vera Molnár, pioneer of sensitive computing at 17 p.m. La danse cosmique at 18 p.m. As for Friday, the exhibition will always receive talks in the Art Faber space at 30 a.m., from time to time: when disegno meets contemporary drawing at 11 p.m. For the day of Saturday, two interviews will be organized with first at 30:18 p.m. the artist Francois Olislaeger and followed by David Tremiett at 30 p.m. Regarding the last day, a conversation with Cyril Pedrosa and Carine Roma-Clément with comics, animation and contemporary art.

The artist won the 12th Drawing Now prize born in 1982, the native of Marseille was awarded the prize, here are a few words about her by Alice Audoin: "A graduate of the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Bordeaux, Husky is also trained in the fields of horticultural landscaping, permaculture and herbalism, all knowledge that irrigates her artistic work. Noting that "the domination of nature and women are two parallels", the artist collaborates with the famous eco-feminist Starhawk. Her new podcast series, "Ma mère l'Oie" is at the intersection of storytelling, agriculture, ecology and spirituality. Faced with the ecocidal world she is fighting, Husky creates peaceful, collective and melodious forms. »

The Drawing Now prize adopts a new formula, it is endowed with 15 € (000 euros in endowment for the artist, 5 euros in production aid for a 000-month exhibition at the Drawing Lab and the edition of a monographic catalog). The Drawing Now Prize is supported by SOFERIM & the Drawing Lab.
