State-of-the-art engines with excellent efficiency

The new Jaguar XF and XF Sportbrake have a range of latest generation four-cylinder Ingenium, petrol or Diesel engines, Diesel being coupled to a light hybridization technology (Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle: MHEV).

All versions of the XF have an eight-speed automatic gearbox, with transmission to the rear wheels or all-wheel drive, and the engine catalog is as follows:

Diesel

  • 204 horsepower MHEV 2,0-liter turbo four-cylinder, 8-speed automatic, rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive

Gasoline

  • 250 horsepower 2,0-liter turbo four-cylinder, 8-speed automatic, rear-wheel drive.
  • 300 horsepower 2,0-liter turbo four-cylinder, 8-speed automatic, all-wheel drive

The 204 horsepower Diesel develops 430 Nm and has an integrated belt generator (Belt Integrated Starter Generator, BiSG) which allows it to collect the energy usually dispersed during deceleration and braking. This energy is then stored in a separate 48 V lithium-ion battery, housed under the trunk, before being reused to support the engine during acceleration, as well as to ensure stop and start operation with more refinement.

The new 204 horsepower MHEV diesel engine gives the XF sedan in RWD version an acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 7,6 seconds with CO2 emission values from 130 g / km * and fuel consumption at from 4,9 l / 100 km *. The XF Sportbrake AWD version can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 8,0 seconds with CO2 emission values from 137 g / km * and consumption from 5,2 l / 100 km *. These performances lower running costs, and represent an improvement of 13% in emissions and 14% in fuel economy for the two-wheel drive version of the XF sedan compared to the 180-horsepower Diesel replaced.

Customers choosing a petrol engine can choose between the 250 and 300 horsepower versions of the 2,0-liter four-cylinder, with 365 Nm and 400 Nm of torque respectively. Both benefit from advanced technologies such as dual-entry turbo and Continuous Variable Valve Lift (CVVL), for a powerful combination of refined performance and economic excellence.

The 250-horsepower petrol engine delivers 8,0 l / 100 km *, CO2 emissions from 181 g / km * and 0-100 km / h acceleration in 6,9 seconds on the XF sedan rear-wheel drive, 188 g / km * and 8,3 l / 100 km * for the XF Sportbrake rear-wheel drive.

The 300-horsepower XF sedan, available only with AWD all-wheel drive, accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 6,1 seconds.

All engines are mated to the Jaguar eight-speed automatic transmission, which can be controlled from the steering wheel paddles for a sportier and more involved ride.

Pivi Pro connectivity is ensured by the latest dual-sim on-board technology, with two LTE modems that can perform multiple functions at the same time, for example capturing streaming media and downloading SOTA updates, without any drop in quality. . This state-of-the-art connectivity also ensures minimal interruptions in the event of “gray spots” in network coverage, as it constantly scans through ISPs looking for the best signal.

For the first time in this segment, the highly innovative Active Road Noise Cancellation system continuously analyzes road vibrations and calculates the opposite frequency noise to erase the noise perceived by passengers. This results in a lower sound level in the cabin, for a more refined atmosphere and less fatigue commonly caused by long exposure to low frequency noise. The number of passengers is taken into account, the system optimizing performance to provide the best sensations for everyone. The lightweight construction ensures that the level of inertia and handling are not affected. Engine noise cancellation (Engine Noise Cancellation) isolates the passenger compartment for even better serenity.

The Jaguar ClearSight ** interior mirror also offers the driver perfect rear visibility. By means of a wide-angle rear camera, this system sends to a high-definition screen inscribed in the frame of the interior mirror the images of the road, in no way altered by the presence of tall passengers, nor by weak exterior lighting or even by rain on the rear window.

For even more convenience, the portable Activity Key allows you to lock, unlock and start the vehicle without the presence of the traditional key. This rechargeable device incorporates a watch and has seven days of autonomy without recharging.
