The 612-meter pitch and putt overlooks the Pebble Beach Golf Links along the Pacific Coast, one of the most beautiful courses in the world and the host of Woods' first triumph at the US Open in 2000.

The resort, which is also home to the Del Monte Golf Course, Spyglass Hill and The Links at Spanish Bay, is arguably one of America's finest golfing gems. Today, Woods and his company TGR Design have redesigned the historic Peter Hay Short Course, which opened in 1957. Woods' redesign also includes the resort's very first putting course, which spans 6100 square meters. .

The Hay course officially opened on April 16, and an ocean-view restaurant, located behind the 9 green, will open in 2021.

Peter Hay has long been the head pro of Del Monte and Pebble Beach and a big advocate of junior golf, and his original design was one of the first par-3 courses built in the United States. Woods' experience of playing as a junior, inspired this new conception.

“I grew up playing a pitch and putt in Long Beach. I always thought it was the easiest way to learn. It can encourage young people to practice our sport ”said Tiger Woods.

The Hay will be free for all golfers up to the age of 12, it was designed to be fun, with eight holes that can be played with any club in the bag and one that is an exact replica of the famous No.7 of 96 meters from the Pebble Beach Golf Links. Each hole can be played for beginners as well as experts.

"Everyone who plays on this course will appreciate the playability", added Woods. “I want to be able to hit the ball on the course. On eight of the nine holes, you can putt, or put the ball directly in the air. "

The holes at The Hay range from 43 to 97 meters with over 21 meters drop. Gorgeous views abound, with some holes nestled among historic oak trees, while others look directly out onto sparkling Stillwater Cove.

The 15-Major Champion also associated the footage from each hole with a significant year in Pebble Beach history, with nods to victories by Jack Nicklaus, among others, and plaques on each tee recounting the history.
