Yesterday, Tiger Woods, the legendary golfer with 15 major titles, revealed the launch date for Sun Day Red, scheduled for May 1 for the United States and Canada. The new brand with lifestyle and golf DNA is the result of a long collaboration between equipment manufacturer TaylorMade and Le Tigre.

Sun Day Red: the new golf brand by Tiger Woods

Sun Day Red aims to be more than just a golf brand. It will offer clothing and accessories suitable for both the course and everyday life, such as polo shirts, pants, hoodies, shoes, gloves, caps and bags. The brand is inspired by the iconic style of Tiger Woods, who often wears red on Sunday, the day of the final rounds of tournaments. The name Sun Day Red is also a tribute to his mother, Kultida, which originates from Thailand, where red is the color of the sun.

" It is the right time. It's the right time in my life. I am no longer a child. I have children, and this is an important part of my transition. I can have something that I can be proud of, a brand that I can be proud of for the future,” Tiger Woods said during the brand presentation, hosted by Erin Andrews, an American sports journalist.

Tiger Woods is associated with TaylorMade since 2017, after leaving Nike, which stopped producing golf equipment in 2016. He uses clubs and balls from the Californian brand, which gave him complete freedom to create Sun Day Red. “We have organized a completely separate entity that is not based in Carlsbad (where TaylorMade headquarters is located). She is at San Clemente" , has explained David Abeles, CEO of TaylorMade.

Sun Day Red should be launched on May 1, 2024, on the occasion of Wells Fargo Championship, a PGA Tour tournament. Tiger Woods plans to play once a month until the major season, which begins in April with the Masters. He will make his first appearance of the year this week at Genesis Invitational, which he organizes at Riveria Country Club, near Los Angeles.
