“The award of this sports competition in 2018 will serve as a catalyst for the development and democratization of French golf. This new course is the illustration of the leadership of NGFGolf in France on the golf market. " says Eric Duval, Founding Chairman of the Financière Duval Group.

Located in Villenave d'Ornon, on the privileged domain of the Château de Geneste, along the Garonne. It is under the name Garden Golf of the brand NGFGolf (Groupe Financière Duval) that the Villenave d'Ornon course will open its doors to the public in September 2017.

The developer selected is Plabo SAS (Vizzion Group). NGFGolf (Groupe Financière Duval) is at the same time the designer, the developer and the manager of this future course.

NGFGolf will pilot the operation of this 18-hole par 72 course, built on 60 hectares of land. Beginners as well as experienced players will enjoy a wide variety of spaces, obstacles, bodies of water, covered positions at the practice… in a valued natural environment. The Club House will measure 500 m².

The architecture of the Garden Golf of Villenave d'Ornon is signed by Michel Niedbala, a great name in the design and development of sustainable courses, committed to enhancing the natural environment as a space for sports leisure. His studies are at the origin of the environmental benchmark for golf developments in Italy. He has built more than 25 golf resorts around the world, including the Albatros Golf & Performance Center in Terre Blanche, designated "Center n ° 1 by the PGA Europe", and which hosts the France Elite team and a number of great players from the European circuit. But also the Provençal Golf Club, which notably welcomes the French hopeful team to its Stadium Academy.

A little bit of history

Villenave d'Ornon was in the 18th century a renowned holiday destination for the notables of Bordeaux. The Château de Geneste was one of the many estates in this part of the banks of the Garonne. It consisted of long single-storey buildings and terraces from which the view extended to the river. The inhabitants of the castle had established a small pleasure pavilion, surmounting the banks of the river. It is visible on a period engraving. It is this atmosphere and this pleasure pavilion that recalls the architecture of the Clubhouse of the Garden golf course of Villenave d'Ornon. It dominates the expanses of water formed by the gravel pits and reed beds of the golf course.

The environment of the course consists of old gravel pits. The 20 hectares of water will be preserved. They will participate in the very original setting of the Villenave d'orion Garden Golf
