This major week in Evian gave its verdict after a last round with twists and turns. The leader after the moving day Brooke M. Henderson started two strokes ahead on this last lap but had a difficult start to the day. After a bogey on hole 1, she commits a double bogey on hole 6, bringing her pursuers back into the title race. Being +3 at the start of the 12th, she had to give up the tournament lead for a time to the profits of the American Sophia Schubert.

The Canadian was then able to climb the slope signing two birdies in a row on holes 14 and 15, before closing her tournament with the birdie of victory on par 5 of hole 18. With a last card of 71 (PAR), she wins one step ahead of Sophia Schubert. Mao Saigo, Lydia Ko, Charley Hull, Hyo Joo Kim and Carlota Ciganda take third place.

At just 24 years old, the Canadian won her second Grand Slam tournament title after the LPGA Championship, which she won at just 18 years old.

“To be here and to be a two-time major champion is just an incredible feeling […] It's a great feeling to be at the top of the major leaderboard. I just try to use that excitement as best I can. »

Nelly Korda for a time at the forefront during this week in Evian, finished 8th in the event alongside world number 1 Jin Young Ko.

This day of Sunday will not have smiled on the French. Perrine Delacour, 13th after three laps, returns to the clubhouse with the worst card in the field, a 79 (+8), demoting her to 54th place, sixteen strokes behind the leader.
