This first major tournament of the season gave us a playoff! Tied at -10 after 72 holes, Lilia Vu and Angel Yin, two American players, met in sudden death to try to win the Chevron Championship. Thanks to a saving birdie putt from about 5 meters, it was finally Lilia Vu who won this major, her first victory in a grand slam tournament.

Starting 11th on Sunday, Lilia Vu plays -4 on this fourth round thanks to two birdies on her last two holes. The American player was brilliant in putting with 25 putts for only 61% of greens in regulation. She knew how to rely on her good form in putting from the first playoff hole by returning her putt for the victory. This is his second victory of the season after his coronation at the Honda LPGA Thailand.

Angel Yin, co-leader at the start of the last lap, lost in this playoff and finished 2nd. Nelly Korda completes the podium at -9.

Atthaya Thitikul is surely very disappointed with her endgame. Co-leader at the start of her last hole, she scores a double bogey on par 5 of 18 and misses the playoff. The Thai player finishes 4th at -8.

Céline Boutier plays in the PAR for her last round. The French number 1, after a badly started day, scores two birdies on the 17th and 18th and finally finishes 14th in this Chevron Championship at -4 total.
