Grand Palais Immersif has for missions:

  • the design and production of immersive digital exhibitions, in synergy with museums, audiovisual and multimedia producers, start-ups specializing in digital;
  • their operation in Paris, in a renovated Grand Palais and, in the meantime, in dedicated spaces;
  • their marketing, both nationally in appropriate formats, and internationally.

Grand Palais Immersif was born from a joint commitment between the Rmn - Grand Palais, the Banque des Territoires and VINCI Immobilier: to spread culture as close as possible to the regions and to make art accessible to as many people as possible. This is thanks to a resolutely contemporary and international dynamic, by promoting digital innovation in all its forms: immersive scenographies, digital mediation, virtual reality, augmented and mixed reality. Grand Palais Immersif has the ambition to become a key player in the emerging digital exhibition market, with a demanding editorial line combining the spectacular, storytelling and the transmission of knowledge.

The Rmn - Grand Palais brings to Grand Palais Immersif its expertise in the design and production of quality exhibitions. It is part of this new project in the continuity of the Eternal Sites exhibition in 2016 then of the Pompeii exhibition at the Grand Palais (more than 200 visitors from July 000 to October 1, 31), which combined original works and digital environment.

The Banque des Territoires (Caisse des Dépôts) has been an operator in the cultural sector since 2010 on behalf of Investissements d'avenir. It is also a major player in the inclusion and attractiveness of regions, in conjunction with those involved in innovation, and at the heart of the challenges of relaunching and (sustainable, digital) transformation of our country. It will bring as much its expertise in the field of cultural innovation as its territorial engineering capacities, with the conviction that culture is essential to create links, reduce social inequalities, make attractive or revitalize territories, create or recreate employment locally.

VINCI Immobilier is making this approach a direct extension of its commitment to culture, initiated in particular through the “1 building 1 work” charter. Expert in real estate development and urban rehabilitation, VINCI Immobilier thus supplements its offers with an original cultural approach, which will make it possible to offer local authorities the establishment of new exhibition venues in partnership with Grand Palais Immersif. This partnership will also enable VINCI Immobilier to strengthen its positioning in transforming abandoned places and in the animation of buildings awaiting development.

The first partnerships of Grand Palais Immersif will take place with the Louvre Museum, Iconem (a startup specializing in the digitization of heritage sites), and the Mucha Foundation. They underline the reinforced role of the Rmn - Grand Palais at the heart of the museum and digital ecosystem, and its ability to combine entrepreneurial dynamics and cultural demands.
