This is the 18-year-old's first victory over the LET as a professional after winning the Ladies European Thailand Championship in 2017 and 2019 while still an amateur.

Thitikul, - 8 at the start of the last round, had a rough start, giving up two strokes on the first four holes, but quickly recovered with three consecutive birdies.

The teenager birdied again on the ninth hole to reach 34 mid-course, then she enters two more birdies on the 10th and 11th holes.

The rising star from Thailand didn't stop there as she made three more birdies on her last four holes coming out on top at the clubhouse at -15 r, which was enough to seal her first professional victory.

“I am so happy for my first victory outside my country. I have been close to winning in many previous tournaments, and I finally did it, it means a lot to me! I am so proud to be able to represent my country. I understand my game, which has helped me a lot today. Nuria has played great golf this week and I know her time will come again in the future. "

Spain's Nuria Iturrioz had another great day, completing a lap of 68 without a bogey, on top of her 66 and 68 from the first and second rounds.

As the final round approached, the three-time LET winner knew she needed a birdie to force the playoff and attempted the green in two strokes on the par-five of 18. She flew over the green, and two putts after his pitch shot and made a par to secure second place.

“It's golf, a few putts didn't fall today, and it was really tight, just for a stroke. I'm happy even though I didn't win. I don't think luck has it for anything and that will only encourage me to train more and improve ”, said the runner-up.

The German Leonie Harm was a little further, after a phenomenal start, which led her to cross the 30-stroke mark with six birdies.

However, Harm had a rough start on the last nine holes with a double bogey and two more lost strokes, but she recovered with two birdies on her last four holes to take third place.

Diksha Dagar of India and Cloe Frankish of England clocked final laps of 66 and 68, respectively, to finish T4 with a score of 12 under par.

Pia Babnik, who leads the Race to Costa del Sol 2021, clocked a 67 and finished the tournament in sixth place, alongside Finland's Sanna Nuutinen, who had the fastest lap of the day with a 64, including a hole in one on the ninth par-4.

“It took me a while to realize I had come in because a par-4 is no ordinary hole to make an ace. I played with Sarah Schober and she started screaming 'come in the hole' and that made me laugh. Then she saw it disappear and I saw people go crazy. But I still couldn't believe it until I got to the green ”said the Finn, who received a watch that was originally intended to reward a hole in one on the par three of the seventeen. The owner of the company decided to give it to Nuutinen because a hole-in-one over a par four is an exceptional feat.

Hannah Burke of England, Katharina Muehlbauer of Austria and Isabelle Boineau of France completed the top 10 finishing T8 with a score of 10 under par.

In the 2021 race to Costa del Sol, Slovenian Babnik leads with 772,67 points. Germany's Olivia Cowan is second with 646,67 points and South African Lee-Anne Pace third with 646,25 points.

Thitikul jumped up the standings to fourth with 624.17, while Nuutinen is just behind in fifth and Harm in sixth.
