Emily Kristine Pedersen won the Ladies European Tour with a victory at the Tipsport Czech Ladies Open, giving herself at 24 her second success on the European circuit, and consolidating her No.1 place in the Race to Costa del Sol.

The Danish author of a 71 (-1) card finishing on birdie-eagle triumphed at -17 with four strokes ahead of the Austrian Christine Wolf (67).

Pedersen started the final lap with a six-stroke lead, but his advantage was only one stroke away when he got to 17, after bogeying on 16.

But the Dane recovered with a chip at 3 meters transforming her attempt into the first birdie of the final, then one with a huge finish on the 18th taking in a 25-meter putt for an eagle on the last par-five.

Pedersen took the win with a score of 17 under par, four more than Austrian Christine Wolf, who turned up the heat with a bug-free 67.

"I didn't think about the score until the 16th and I was told that I was only one step ahead, so the birdie on the 17th was really crucial for me", said Pedersen, who is now more than 200 points clear at the top of the Race to Costa del Sol standings.

“This eagle was a bonus. It was a chance to get the ball in from this far, but it was good to get it, I'll remember that. "

Pedersen claimed her first LET victory at the Indian Open in 2015, but her performance has since plummeted admitting she was not sure she could return to the top level again.
