The islands of the Indian Ocean offer an ideal climate for playing golf all year round. Mauritius and Seychelles enjoy nearly 300 days of sunshine a year with particularly mild golf temperatures: between 25 and 36 degrees depending on the period.

In Mauritius, The Legend, has made the reputation of the island as a “Golf destination” since its opening in January 1994. Signed by the South African champion Hugh Baiocchi, this par 72 for a length of 6 m spreads over its 018 hectares in an old deer reserve still free in the middle of the fairways.

An integral part of Constance Belle Mare Plage, the Legend Golf is reserved exclusively for customers who have the opportunity to play freely without a green fee. Each hole has its own difficulty and the golfer will not experience any real relaxation before the 18th hole at the Club house where the bar and the restaurant await. At 152 m above the lagoon waters, hole n ° 17 stands out as the signature of the course.

Open since November 1, 2002, The Links completes the offer of Resort Constance Belle Mare Plage. This second 18 hole, Par 71 for 5 m, is particularly different from the first since it lovingly follows the coastline in a riot of greens. It is also known for having a magnificent 942th signature hole along its turquoise waters and for offering players wide undulating fairways. The club house offers a bar and all the desired facilities as well as a beautiful driving range with this time a view of the hills of the interior of the island. Like its twin, the Legend, it offers a golf academy with lessons and coaching on the course by qualified teachers and instructors.

For several years, the Constance Hotels Experience Group has established itself as a pioneer of golf in the Indian Ocean with two championship courses in Mauritius - the Legend and the Links. These two courses are also recognized worldwide by the PGA and several other federations. Since 2009, they have hosted the MCB Tour Championship of the "European Senior Tour". Aware of the growing demand from golfers around the world, Constance Le Prince Maurice has created an exclusive package to best satisfy its golfing clientele.

Golf of the Gods

In Seychelles on the island of Praslin, the Lemuria is a world renowned course signed Rodney Wright and Marc-Antoine Farry. Along the Kerlan cove and bordered by tropical trees, it offers fantastic landscapes which alone justify its nickname of golf of the gods. This 18 hole championship course, Par 70 which opened in October 2000, provides indeed extreme sensations. "Some customers have come and returned to us for many years mainly for golf," explains Gary Pouponneau, his manager.

Recognized by the PGA, it stretches over 5 meters and requires more precision than physical strength. Its first 556 holes are indeed rather flat, bordered by palm trees, takamakas and imposing blocks of granite allowing the light to filter intermittently.

From the 13th hole, golf is available on the steep slopes of a lush hill. At the 15th hole, the signature hole, the game becomes simply magical. Between sky, sea and hill, the player stands on a rocky ridge overlooking the crystal clear waters and the pristine sands of Georgette Cove.

The ultimate challenge is to reach the green 50 meters further down the valley. The vertiginous descent of 18, along the albizzias and the artificial lake, will give golfers an unforgettable impression.
