At the end of a day when she was leader for a long time, Céline Boutier finally could not resist the resounding return of Ayaka Furue. The Japanese plays 62 (-10), course record, leaving no chance to her competitors, to win this Trust Golf Women's Scottish Open. Céline Boutier finally finished second only thanks to a birdie on her 72nd hole.

Leader on the evening of the moving day of the Trust Golf Women's Scottish Open, Céline Boutier did a lot of good things during this week in Scotland but did not manage to lift the trophy. Indeed, after a Saturday in 67 (-5), the French number 1 had managed to take the lead in the tournament with the former world number 1 Lydia Ko.

The two women started in the last part on Sunday and the duel quickly turned in favor of the Frenchwoman. With a go in 33 (-3), Boutier was in the lead of the event but it was without counting on the charge of Ayaka Furue.

Party at -11, the Japanese birdie on the 1 then a series of six consecutive birdies from 6 to 11. Having joined Boutier in the lead, she afflicts the coup de grace to the French by scoring birdie 15,17 and 18. Céline Boutier despite a solid part did not go up the Japanese. Setting the Dundonald Links course record on Sunday, Ayaka Furue won the Trust Golf Women's Scottish Open by three strokes and won her first victory on the LPGA Tour.

Céline Boutier, thanks to a birdie at 18, only finished second this week in Scotland. The 25th player in the world signs four cards under 70 during her tournament and will present herself full of confidence on the last major of the season: the AIG Women's Open. Hyo Joo Kim and Cheyenne Knight complete the podium.

Ryann O'Toole, defending champion signs a top 15 with a total of -11.

The scores of our French women:

Perrine Delacour finished 34th in the event. She played under par on her last day with a card of 71 (-1) for a total of -6.

Pauline Roussin-Bouchard will have had a difficult Sunday with a card of 76 (+4). She finally finished 48th in the event at -3.

Emma Grechi steps behind her. She plays 75 (+3) on Sunday for a total of -2 and a 56th place.
