The tension mounts in the last hours of preparation for the competition and the players are ready to do battle in this PGA Championship. Tiger Woods feels ready, and on the other hand, Bryson DeChambeau, finally had to forfeit and leave his place. Back to the latest news, a few hours before the launch of this PGA Championship 2022.

The players have made their final adjustments, ready to face the Southern Hills Country Club course, and despite the presence of the world's top players, the lights are on one man: Tiger Woods.

“I feel like I can do it. I just have to go out on the course and do it. I have to do my work which starts on Thursday and I will be ready”

Responding to the question of his physical condition: “I feel better than the last time I played a tournament (Augusta). There are more days when I feel better, I am more positive. I am able to train a little longer. I am able to redo activities that I hoped to be able to do again”

Tiger Woods therefore feels ready to battle it out and has even made some adjustments in his bag to optimize his strategy in Tulsa.

The last minute absentee will be, as many feared, Bryson DeChambeau. Injured in the wrist for a few months, the American bomber had all the same taken the start of the Masters last April against the advice of the doctors. After a few days of training, DeChambeau finally gave up taking the start of this PGA Championship, believing that he was not at 100% of his abilities. This package makes one happy since it allows Denny McCarty to enter the field of player of the event.
