The Frenchman managed the ideal third round with a birdie festival on the 13th, 14th and 15th before saving a very good par at the 16th, to resume his series of birdies on the last two holes. He brilliantly completed the third round of this Turkish Airlines Open at -16, co-leader alongside Jaco Van Zyl.

Van Zyl broke away on day one with a stunning 61, but his 70 today on Saturday saw his pursuers come back to him.

McIlroy just one stroke behind the leaders, made a 1st eagle after a magical second shot on the par 5 of hole 13, the ball ended its course 1 meter from the flag.
On the next hole, he punched in an 8-meter birdie putt to -14, along with Kiradech Aphibarnrata.

The latter is running here after his victories at Shenzhen International and Saltire Energy Paul Lawrie Match Play his third title of the season, but a bogey on the last hole cost him the position of co-leader at the head of the tournament.

Victor Dubuisson has only two top 10s this season to his credit and believes that his return to form this week is due to the improvement of his little game.

“I really like this course, today I'm very satisfied with my little game, like in the first two laps. Here is really the key to getting a good score. "

“My long game has been really good since the start of the year, but my little game really needed to be reviewed. I finally decided to change my putter a month and a half ago ”. Said Victor Dubuisson.

It is an honor for me to be the co-leader of this tournament. I'll give it my all and see what the gods of golf have in store for me for the last round - said Jaco Van Zyl
