Signed for a period of 3 years, this partnership, which celebrates its first anniversary on April 26, has already made it possible to raise awareness, free of charge, of 600 children in the city about this sport and to introduce them to an often unknown sport, a thousand leagues away. of the very urban image of Argenteuil. City among the youngest in France with more than 42% of inhabitants aged under 30, Argenteuil places sport and its accessibility at the heart of its values.

In addition to initiation and improvement days organized throughout the year for young people, free discovery mornings have also been offered to older Argenteuil residents. An opportunity for everyone to develop qualities such as rigour, concentration, perseverance and humility.

As part of this partnership, and after the people of Argenteuil have taken to the greens, golf is settling in Argenteuil! The City and Ugolf are indeed organizing the 1st Argenteuil Golf Open, on Sunday May 14, from 11 a.m. to 18 p.m., at the Parc des Berges, on the banks of the Seine.

The first of its kind in France, this free event will offer the Argenteuil public:

• the possibility of participating in a 3-hole competition;
• The figure skater Philippe Candeloro, vice-world figure skating champion and Olympic medalist will be present for the hole-in-one competition. Will you succeed alongside him in this challenge?
• a golf village which will allow visitors, young and old, to learn about and discover the many activities associated with this sport (mini-golf course, discovery of handigolf, street golf in partnership with the Sports Federation, foot-golf…);
• putting and swing workshops, as well as virtual golf.
