Sunburn on the Pro-Am of the Côte d'Opale 2022
Benjamin Nicolay, Julien Grillon and their teammates shared the top billing of the Pro Am de la Côte d'Opale, which took place from April 20 to 23 in idyllic weather conditions.
The 360 participants of the biggest Pro Am in Europe must have made many jealous last week. They had the chance to play four of our most beautiful jewels (Hardelot, Belle Dune, Le Touquet, Wimereux), "with a different golf identity on each course" said former Canal+ commentator Christian Ledan, who took part in the event again this year. All in summer conditions which are not necessarily guaranteed, at the end of April on the side of Le Touquet.
Masterfully organized since 1994 by Christophe Cantegrel (and his wife Patricia), the Pro-Am of the Côte d'Opale saw the Paris Longchamp golfer, Benjamin Nicolay, crush the competition among the professionals. With a total score of -15, the former member of the Canadian Tour and the Challenge Tour was 7 strokes ahead of Léo Lespinasse, with only eight pros finishing under par after four rounds. The team of Julien Grillon, Isabella's pro, meanwhile monopolized the victory both in the Gross and Net classification by beating each time the four courses.FC
