Thanks to an eagle, Supamas Sangchan from Thailand gets his first trophy on the Ladies European Tour at the Sanya Ladies Open in China.

The 20-year-old Thai won her second LPGA Tour title after signing a final 68 card to finish with a total of 54 holes at -8, enough to lead the Swede by a length. Caroline Hedwall.

Amelia Lewis of the United States tied for third with China's Yuting Shi (-6). New professional recruit Olivia Cowan for Germany finished two strokes in fourth.
Sangchan held firm in the wind, gusting to 35 miles per hour, to register his second professional win, following a debut LPGA Thai victory last summer.

“I am very happy with my score today. I had a stroke of luck on the ninth hole. The third shot went into the hole and an eagle, ”she said.

Sangchan wore a black ribbon on her cap throughout the tournament and said she wanted to bring back the trophy to honor the late King of Thailand.
