The tournament had been reduced to 54 holes and the Frenchman had a 4 stroke lead at -17 this morning. These first two rounds had revealed a perfect mastery of his subject, no bogey had come to dirty the cards.

However, the day did not start at this same pace. Indeed, he conceded 3 bogeys on the first 5 holes. The gap before his playing partner, Ross Fisher, was only a length at the tee of the 18th hole. Levy was on the last hole, so we had to play extra time. But the 26-year-old landed a nice 6-meter downhill putt for a birdie that meant victory.

This victory over 54 holes (56 to be exact) after his victory over 72 and 36 holes, respectively at the Volvo China Open and Portugal Masters, is quite unique. Only Paul Lawrie is imposed on these three formats.

Levy had missed his first 3 cuts of the season and had stayed away from the fairways this summer only to return to competition once his wrist had been treated in early September. He finished 7th last week in Italy.

“It's amazing, it means a lot you know. So much has happened in my life over the past three months. The putt on the 18th, I told my caddy - Tom Ayling - it's okay, I've got it. I felt it and put it down very quickly. I can't wait to get home and be able to celebrate with my family. Today is my sister's birthday and I think I couldn't give her a better gift. ”

“It's great to experience this after two years without victories. It's hard to say that, but it's the best of my victories. I have worked so hard the last few weeks. I was very close last week but I didn't play well on Sunday. I managed this time around to hold this trophy in my hands. However, I did not play well on the first holes, I was thinking of the score and I did not play my game. I was however able to remain patient and I played super well on the return. "

The week was a tricolor success beyond the crowning of Levy. Grégory Havret signs a 7th place thanks to a final 65, -6 without a bogey, he thus validates his playing rights for next year. Same consequence for the 13th place of Mike Lorenzo-Vera. The latter plays 64 with no less than 9 birdies against a double bogey.
