Faster in the air and on impact, Titleist TSi drivers push the limits of speed with revolutionary technological and material advancements, including a new face in aerospace titanium ATI 425, a material never before used in the golf industry. . Available in two models TSi2 and TSi3, these Titleist drivers are the most powerful, the most precise, the most successful from a sound and aesthetic point of view, ever produced by the brand.

Available in golf shops from November 12, 2020, and accessible as of today in Fitting, the new TSi2 and TSi3 models surpass the advances of the original "Titleist Speed Project", accelerating the performance which, for two seasons, has made Titleist drivers the most played models on the PGA Tour.

From the top of the backswing, the TSi's reworked aerodynamics maximize clubhead speed towards the ball. On impact, the powerful ATI 425 face propels the ball with additional speed. High inertia properties make the clubhead extremely stable, allowing players to achieve more consistent speed and spin regardless of the point of impact on the face. The drives are therefore longer and straighter.

  • The TSi2 is designed to generate incredible speed and precision from across the face. Its center of gravity is located deeper and lower to maximize distance.
  • The TSi3 is aimed at players who are more regular in their contact with the ball or who need more precise control thanks to the positioning of the center of gravity. This is why the new SureFit CG adjustment rail has been designed, it allows to obtain an optimum speed in relation to its swing speed.

TSi drivers arrived at the PGA and European Tours at the beginning of September, and in the first week, 57 players immediately adopted them, which made TSi the most chosen drivers in these two tournaments. The following week at the US Open, the TSi was the most played driver model on the course at Winged Foot Golf Club.

“The TSi is simply better at the four essential aspects of driver design: distance, precision, look and sound. We continue to make all the investments necessary to help players achieve the speed and distance gains they demand, without having to sacrifice any performance criteria. "

“The ATI 425 is a great leap forward in driver performance, but it's just one piece of the puzzle. Every aspect of the TSi has been optimized, and it's the integration of all of these elements that generates the greater ball speed and feel on impact that Tour players keep talking about. "

ATI 425 aerospace titanium faceplate

Precisely tuned to generate speed at different contact points, TSi driver faces are constructed from ATI 425 Aerospace Titanium, a unique material that offers superior strength, elasticity and durability compared to conventional titanium alloys. used in golf.

The exceptional ductility of ATI 425 (30% better than Titanium 6-4) allowed engineers to produce the fastest driver face ever, while retaining the durability properties required for maximum and consistent performance.

“The ATI 425 is an extraordinary alloy which offers many advantages in terms of performance. It is incredibly strong and maintains elongation in extreme conditions. "

“This has allowed us to optimize the thickness of the entire face to a degree that has never been possible before, and to generate ball speeds never before achieved, not only from the center of the face, but also from the heel, toe, top and bottom. It is not an easy material to obtain, but the benefits for the golfer go beyond anything we have experienced previously. "

Dan Stone, Senior Vice President R&D Titleist Golf Club

Manufactured by a single foundry in Pittsburgh, the ATI 425 was originally developed for ballistic armor; it has since been used in numerous aerospace and industrial applications, notably within NASA, for the Phoenix Mars Lander space probe. Titleist is the only golf company to use this material. The face of the TSi has a new high contrast design with central part highlighting for easier alignment at address.

Aerodynamics and sound

The shape of the TSi has been reworked to allow the club head to move faster in the air and produce a powerful impact. Both TSi2 and TSi3 have aerodynamic properties that reduce drag by up to 15% (compared to TS models), which increases head and ball speed, and therefore distance. As per a request from Tour players, the contours of the head have been reworked and the toe has been refined for better alignment at address.

A player who takes a TSi in hand with an impression of speed to which is added a meticulously worked sound, in particular at the level of the vibrations inside the head to offer a sound equivalent to that obtained by the players of the Tour à l 'impact.

Multidimensional stability

While golfers often associate the notion of high moment of inertia (MOI) with tolerance from heel to toe, Titleist R&D takes a more holistic approach to its conception of moment of inertia. The TSi also optimizes performance from sole to crown (bottom to top), resulting in inertia values up to 13% higher (compared to the TS generation), and thus increased speed, launch less scatter and a smoother spin when the ball is contacted up or down the face.

TSi's moment of inertia-optimized speed works in concert with a low and deep center of gravity position to increase ball speed, achieve higher launch and low spin, and exceptional stability. Result: more regularity in terms of distance.

Perform with a custom fit

The TSi3 model features new technology, the SureFit CG adjustment rail, which offers five center of gravity positions in the head to optimize ball flight. The rail allows more precise adjustments in terms of incrementation: positions H2 (more towards the heel), H1, Neutral, T1 or T2 (more towards the toe) allow the player to make his own adjustment to optimize his take-off angle.

The TSi2 and TSi3 both feature the patented Titleist SureFit hosel with 16 independent lie and loft settings, as well as the ability to adjust head mass in 2 gram increments (-4g to + 4g). Customize your settings to optimize the flight of your ball, more regularly.
