Lilia Vu wins the Honda LPGA Thailand, Boutier 4th
Having come close several times to her first victory on the LPGA Tour, Lilia Vu finally lifted a trophy on the American women's circuit by winning the Honda LPGA Thailand. The young American player won thanks to a fiery Sunday in 64 (-8). She is one stroke ahead of Natthakritta Vongtaveelap (THA) and two strokes Atthaya Thitikul (THA). Céline Boutier finished at the foot of the podium with a fine fourth place in Thailand.
The LPGA Tour players met this week in Thailand for the Honda LPGA Thailand at the Siam Country Club. After four rounds of golf, it is finally the American player Lilia Vu who lifts the trophy for the event. Starting six strokes behind the Thai leader on Saturday evening Natthakritta Vongtaveelap, Lilia Vu signs her best card of the week in the final round, a 64 (-8) without bogey and above all a day of putting from another world since she only made 21 putts this Sunday!
