Chef Laurent Petit has just received his third star during the presentation of the Michelin Guide stars in Paris today. He received his first star in 2000 and his second in 2007.

The universe of Clos des Sens

In the spring of 2015, Laurent and Martine Petit had something of a revelation and chose a path, which far from being a concept, reasons as obvious. A philosophy of life that was in them, but that they did not yet dare to fully endorse.

Here they are, freed from any contingency, from any fad, to express a magical interpretation of the territory, which they chose in 1992 and which they love above all.

In an eco-responsible approach almost 100% locavore, their partition is a unique hymn to the 3 most beautiful lakes of Savoy: Annecy at the heart, framed by Le Bourget in the South and Le Léman in the North.

Since this summer, Le Clos des Sens has been nestled in the heart of a wonderful 1500 m2 permaculture garden, with no less than 200 varieties of aromatics, vegetables, fruits, edible fl owers, plants and herbs. The cooks become authentic gardeners, observing and accompanying the natural cycles. All these elements arrive on the plate with an unexpected freshness and aromatic intensity.

It is a culmination but also a new beginning, which gives the House an artistic and poetic dimension. On the serene and calm heights of the village of Annecy-Le-Vieux, with the lake and the Bauges alpine massif for the horizon, Laurent and Martine Petit are writing an exciting page of haute cuisine in France. Nature and culture merge in a dizzying and obvious symphony of the 5 senses.

5 M € of investments have been made since 2012 to create a new dining room, a powerful and original architectural setting, an open kitchen, a maturing cellar with 140 cheeses, a wine cellar with 1500 references. And sublimate a historic Second Empire building into a ***** Relais & Châteaux hotel, offering 11 personalized rooms.

If Annecy is becoming a major gastronomic hub, a sort of “French San Sebastian”, Laurent Petit is one of its main instigators.

11 rooms including 4 suites: spacious (28 to 70 m²), all equipped with spa bath at the foot of the bed and a balcony or terrace. 9 rooms have a graphic or wood-burning fireplace. 2 bedrooms can accommodate up to 4 people. 1 room is accessible to people with reduced mobility.

Night from 230 € for 2 people, possibility of package during the week.

"Otherwise" breakfast served in the lounge at a price of 25 € or in a room at a price of 30 €.

Gourmet restaurant *** Michelin

Member of the Grandes Tables du Monde.

A room with a capacity of 30 place settings, a lounge allowing to welcome guests in a private way. A shaded terrace of the same capacity with a view of Annecy and the lake.

“Discovery” menu offered in the evening in 5, 8 or 10 flavors at the respective rates of 128, 168 or 198 € per person (excluding drinks).

“BREAKFAST” menu for lunch on weekdays at a price of € 78 (excluding drinks).

Cellar

1500 references, including 500 in aging and 200 from the Alpine arc. Wines by the glass.

The menus are offered with food and drink pairings.

Kitchen

Focused on regional products, Laurent Petit's locavore cuisine offers a "Lake & Vegetal" theme: fish from the 3 great Savoyard lakes (Léman, Annecy, Bourget) and vegetables from Albanian market gardeners, enhanced by 40 herbs from the garden.
