After a stay in Scotland for the Genesis Scottish Open and The Open Championship, the DP World Tour settled in England for the Cazoo Classic, Cazoo is also the title sponsor of the French Open. This tournament at the Hillside Golf Club has long given us hope to see a Frenchman lift the trophy.

Having started his week with a card of 66 (-6), Julien Guerrier scores twice 69 (-3) to take control of the Cazoo Classic alone. He was then one step ahead of a trio of pursuers: Paul Waring, Riche Ramsay and Jens Dantorp.

On Sunday, the French signed a perfect start to the game with three birdies on his first nine holes for a first leg in 33 (-3). He began his comeback with three pars, before conceding three bogeys on holes 13, 15 and 17. Richie Ramsay, who was four strokes behind the tricolor at the start of 13, took the opportunity to sign three birdies on his last six holes. . He then reaches the total of -14 which will no longer be reached by his pursuers. Paul Waring finished second at -13 and Julien Guerrier had to settle for third place.

Richie Ramsay therefore lifts the Cazoo Classic trophy, his 4th victory on the DP World Tour. He returns to the world top 200, he is 175th.

Julien Guerrier, despite a finish below his expectations, won places in the Race to Dubai and scored important points to secure his card on the DP World Tour: he was 86th.

Victor Dubuisson signs a top 15 in England. He returns cards of 70-70-70-69 for a total of -9 and an 11th place.

The ranking of all French people:

  • Antoine Rozner finished 34th in the Cazoo Classic with a total of -4.
  • Raphaël Jacquelin ranks 41st at -3.
  • Robin Roussel and Romain Langasque rank 46th at -2.
  • Frederic Lacroix ends his week in the total PAR, he is 56th.
  • Damien Perrier ranks 64th at +3.
