A crazy last lap...

A go hanging on the branches for our French with a passage to +1. Rather balanced until 6, France does not manage to take the advantage on the par 5 of the 7 and misses the par on the 8 and the 9 where Spain makes birdie.

Taking off, Spain leads after 9 holes. Then a nice reaction from the French on 10 with birdie but again bogey on the enormous par 5 of 14. The reaction we were waiting for finally arrives with the sequence of birdies on 15 and 16 while the Spaniards let go of their shots always at the limit out of bounds and let the points slip away. The 17 could have given us the advantage but bogey for both teams with comma to arrive at the start of the 18 tied.

At this moment we say to ourselves that everything is playable. The two teams drive full fairway and a little too far to take the green in 2 but Manuel (index -2) tries a 3 iron shot above the water… and ball in the water.

Diego tries to ensure but scratches ends 2m from the water hazard while our French ensure by putting themselves on the right in the rough 60m from the green. Wedge shot 4m from the Victoria flag, we tell ourselves that we are not bad, while the Spaniards put green at 15m… Then we know the rest.

The Heritage World Cup, the flagship event of the LeClub Golf network

The Heritage World Cup by Villas Valriche, organized for 6 years by the LeClub Golf network, has established itself each year as the essential amateur competition in France but also in 26 partner countries. The forces involved this year: France, Great Britain, Belgium, Japan, Germany, Morocco, Austria, Spain, Italy, Poland, Czech Republic, New Caledonia, Slovakia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Benin, Zimbabwe, Togo, Nigeria, Ghana , Ivory Coast, Rwanda, Tanzania, Mauritius, Vietnam, Cameroon.

The 26 national teams represented by 2 players from each country compete in the tournament over 54 holes over 3 rounds of competition: Two in individual (gross + net) and 1 in scramble. At the same time, the guests played the Invitational over 3 individual rounds.

The strength of the Heritage World Cup is the mix of cultures across the 26 countries present and the welcome and know-how of the Heritage teams. The welcome drink, the opening night at the Château de Bel Ombre, the Sunset Cocktail Villas Valriche and the awards night at the Jin'ga de l'Heritage le Telfair were real moments of sharing, communion between the players and of discovery of the Mauritian culture.

The Heritage World Cup experience, refinement and conviviality

The Heritage World Cup has been fortunate for 3 years to be organized in Mauritius on the course of the Heritage Golf Club, elected as the best golf course in the Indian Ocean. Official host of the Afrasia Bank Mauritius Open, tri-sanctioned by the European, Asian and Sunshine Tours. The Heritage Golf Club has been elected for six consecutive years "Best course in the Indian Ocean" at the World Golf Awards.

In September 2023? La Réserve, the second Heritage course, will open its doors. Designed by architect Peter Malkovich and player Louis Oosthuizen, this new course will offer a high-level gaming experience in unspoiled nature between mountains and ocean views.

Organizing such an event with more than 100 players on the official competition and on the INVITATIONAL requires quality accommodation on site and the Heritage Resort group was the ideal partner by providing the Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Wellness Resort.

Taking part in the Heritage World Cup also means discovering and perhaps realizing your dream of investing in the most prestigious real estate program in Mauritius. Come and let go definitively at Heritage Villas Valriche in this natural sanctuary where humans have decided to adapt to their environment and not to adapt their environment. Located in the South-West of Mauritius, famous for its authenticity and lush nature, the Bel Ombre estate is home to a preserved treasure.
