The Hardelot Golf and the Touquet Golf Resort, renowned as being among the most beautiful links in France[1], recorded respective increases of 18% and 6% in their green fee reservations in 2018, continuing the upward momentum that began in 2017, when the Touquet Golf Resort recorded an increase of 8% compared to the previous year.

Le Touquet Golf Resort renovated Le Manoir Hôtel, voted Best Hotel in France[2] For the third consecutive year, there was also an increase in the number of visitors, with a 30% increase in bookings for 2018.

The Manoir renovation was part of a multi-million euro renovation program at the Touquet Golf Resort, which saw the award-winning restoration of La Mer, France's premier link course, and the construction of a club house with a bold architectural design.

The Hardelot Golf has grown in popularity after a clever and thorough renovation project of its golf course. Golf architects Frank Pont and Patrice Boissonnas used old photographs and aerial views to restore Les Pins to the original layout and design of Tom Simpson of 1931, recreating the shape and contours of the greens, the surrounding areas, the fairways, bunker edges, etc.

Laurent Boissonnas, CEO, commented: “The Ryder Cup has undoubtedly focused on France, with courses and resorts around Paris and in northern France enjoying an increase in the number of traveling golfers. However, thanks to our own investment projects, this positive trend has been reinforced at our sites since the end of 2017, continued throughout 2018, and early bookings indicate that the situation continues in 2019. ”

“Our aim has been to create a new golden age of golf on the north coast of France, and that means a lot to see, not only the increase in the number of visitors, but also a greater number of international golfers who discover golf on the Opal Coast. "

Le Touquet Golf Resort and Golf d'Hardelot are easily accessible from the UK, Belgium and the Netherlands, as well as the rest of France, by road and rail, both within easy reach of an hour's drive south of the Eurotunnel terminus of the A16 motorway.
