The International Festival of Gastronomy the Stars of Mougins, 11rd edition opens this year at the start of the season on June 10, 11 and 12. Thierry MARX, Guest of Honor, will chair the International Young Chef Competition. An increasingly coveted competition, won last year for the 10th anniversary by Matthieu GASNIER, sous-chef of the gourmet restaurant Faventia in Terre Blanche. In addition to his trophy, the winner received from the hands of Denise Vergé, very moved, the jacket of the famous Chef Roger Vergé.

Les Espoirs de Mougins, competition reserved for professionals

The Étoiles de Mougins competition is open to all qualified professional cooks, aged 35 or less.

Preselection of candidates

Applicants are selected on written recipes by a jury made up of professionals and qualified people. The jury's decisions are final. The 4 selected candidates compete for the final of Sunday June 12, 2016.

The preselection of candidates is done on the following theme:

"The awakening of the Five Senses" (Taste, touch, smell, sight and hearing) with imposed products, Saint Pierre and seasonal vegetables
