The most starred chef in the world had started this adventure in late 2014 after Bernard Magrez bought the Bordeaux mansion. An ambitious “haute couture” hotel-restaurant project for which Joël Robuchon had thought up exceptional French cuisine, awarded two macarons in the Michelin Guide only one year after its opening.

However, in a difficult economic context with a slowdown in tourism linked to the 2015 attacks, "La Grande Maison" decided to change course and adapt its formula.

Joël Robuchon remains the ambassador for Bernard Magrez wines around the world. He would like to pay tribute to his friend Bernard Magrez and thank the entire restaurant team for the great work accomplished since the opening.
