The superb course of Kapalua will have given us a spectacle this week with the champions of the year 2021. Our idols have surpassed themselves, playing more spectacular shots than the others and signing amazing cards and scores. During the moving day, the course record was even broken by Justin Thomas signing a card of 61 (-12), immediately equaled by world number 1 Jon Rahm. The Spaniard's record card propelled him to the tournament lead alongside Cameron Smith after three rounds.

The two men therefore met in the last game on Sunday for what looked like a match-play. Cameron Smith was the first to trigger his birdie machine on hole four followed by a second birdie on the next hole, par 5 of five. The Australian after nine holes has two strokes ahead of the Spaniard.

The world number 1 signs five birdies on the return but fails with a short header despite a card of 66 (-7). With eight birdies without any bogey, Cameron Smith won the Sentry Tournament of Champions with a total score of -34.

At the same time, he set a new record on the PGA Tour: that of the lowest total score on a 72-hole event, the previous record dated from 2003 and was held by Ernie Els also in Kapalua with a score of -31.

It should also be noted that Jon Rahm surpasses the Big Easy record with his -33 total and this is also the case for Matt Jones finishing third in the event at -32. This weekend will have been totally crazy for the winner of the Honda Classic 2021. He signs cards of 62 (-11) on Saturday then 61 (-12), the final card which allows him to equalize the Kapalua course record held. by Justin Thomas and Jon Rahm. Matt Jones on the weekend it's just fifteen birdies and four eagles! This performance allows him to go from 104th to 66th place in the world.

Cameron Smith thanks to his victory integrates the world top 10: he is tenth. Jon Rahm retains his place on the throne of world golf despite the charge of Collin Morikawa on the last round with a score of 62 (-11). The two-time winner in American major finished fifth.

Defending champion Harris English has not been involved this week. The winner of the Sentry Tournament of Champions 2021 returns cards of 73-70-68-67. He finished 30th at -14.
