"Feel like at home in Bossey"

Caroline Rominger was one of the first LETAS Tour players to tweet her impressions of arriving at the Bossey Ladies Championship: "Feel like at home! ".

The Swiss, however, is not a border worker living in Geneva, like her young compatriot golfer Clara Pietri, who has dual nationality and is a regular at the Bossey Country Club.

Caroline comes from " the other Switzerland ”, the one that is German-speaking. More precisely from Pontresina, in the beautiful Engadine region and a stone's throw from the famous ski resort of St. Moritz. We are therefore not surprised when Caroline explains that she practices alpine skiing, cross-country skiing and that she supports the Davos Hockey Club.

" We appreciate ; everything is perfect "

"It's my first time at Bossey," tells the tall young brunette woman, which is the ninth season with the pros. “But I had heard a lot about it from Clara before. And it's a pleasure to just get in your car, with your golf gear in the trunk, to arrive directly at the tournament site. Then discover this course which is so pretty! I love the 13th, with the forest, the mountains, a bit like home. All the girls on the circuit love this place. And what about the organization of Pitch & Play. It's just perfect! The Player's Lounge with this free, healthy catering for all tastes. The golf yoga teacher just for us… We are not treated like that every week! "

"Sad without the Swiss Open"

Caroline Rominger is naturally a member of ASG, the Swiss golf association, which is one of the supporters of this first edition of the Bossey Ladies Championship. For the moment, she does not have an active role with the ASG. Otherwise that of a licensed professional golfer: “I am 100% focused on my sport. " But she is attentive to what can change things: “For four or five years, the Swiss Open (former LET women's tournament) has not been organized. It's sad. So today, we put all our hopes in Pitch & Play… ”

"Objective the top 5 of LETAS"

The Swiss player does not know the organizing team of the LETAS tournament in Bossey… “But I know Pitch & Play is also working to create a LET tournament again in Switzerland. It would therefore be the equivalent of this Swiss Open which was traditionally held in Losone and which has disappeared. I have played it three times as an amateur. And four times as a professional. I must have finished in the top 30 one year… ” Like many players, Caroline, currently 19th in the LETAS ranking, hopes to take advantage of the last three tournaments of 2017 (Bossey, then Stoke by Nayland at the end of September and Santander at the end of October) to finish in the top 5 of the season and thus obtain a right of play on the LET in 2018.

"Two Rominger champions"

“It will be difficult but there is still a chance that I will get there. " Placed 11th after two laps (by), the Swiss can indeed score valuable points in Bossey. Especially since she likes to play in France, and even in Haute-Savoie. Invited three times to play the Evian Masters (2009 where she shared the part of Michelle Wie and Yani Tseng, 2010 and 2011), she keeps fond memories of it. In addition the form is there. Fraulein Rominger has just won the Swiss PGA Championship on August 10 at the Erlen Golf Club. In boys, the winner was Martin, his brother. "Two Swiss champions among the Rominger, yes .."

Not bad is not it ?
