Beachcomber Golf Cup: Isabella's golf course wins in Mauritius
It was at Golf de Mont Choisy, which will host a DP World Tour tournament in December, that the 10th edition of the Grand Final of the Beachcomber Golf Cup took place from November 13 to 4, en route to the MAURITIUS ISLAND.
At the end of the final bringing together the 24 duos for a dream stay at Trou aux Biches Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa.
Two days of intense competition.
The 4 teams played a 6-hole match against each of their 3 opponents. At the end of this first day, the classification determined the duos qualified for the Super Final and the Small Final. An incredible scenario resulted in a perfect equality between 3 teams, credited with 2 victories: Bresson, Isabella and Mormal.
They had to decide by the "nearest to the pin" test: 100 meters from the green of the 9th, the 3 teams tried to approach as close as possible to the hole. In this cruel game, it was Isabella then Bresson who opened the doors to the Super Final.
On the second day, it was Dijon (Simon Laborier and Paul Seysses), defending champions, who erased their first day without a point with an indisputable victory to win the small final against Mormal (Julie Pereira and Matthieu Hoyez).
The Super Final finally saw Isabella triumph over Bresson, as in their pool match the day before. After a first match won by the young duo from Bresson (Hugo Delaitre and Camille Boullen), the combativeness of Isabella's team (Marion Wolfovski and Nicolas Simon), already 3rd in the competition in 2019, allowed them to quickly neutralize the 2nd match won 3&2. The 3rd and last match of 6 holes was intense until the end and finally won 1up at 18
A dream Grand Final in Mauritius
The island in the Indian Ocean is a particularly popular destination for golfers. It has a total of 13 exceptional courses. But it was at the magnificent Trou aux Biches Beachcomber Resort & Spa and on the Mont Choisy golf course that the Grand Finalists had the pleasure of battling for victory.
To complete this exceptional experience, the golfers had the pleasure of sharing their passion with Antoine Schwartz. The former professional player, putting specialist, is the sponsor of the event. He made his talent and expertise available to the participants during two clinics on the long game on the first day and putting on the second day.
The event is supported by the Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels chain and the Mauritius Tourist Office, thanks to which the stay was fully offered to the competitors.
Many other partners supported the operation throughout the year: Callaway Golf, Under Armor France, Golf Channel, Le Figaro Golf, Golf Magazine and Swing-féminin.com.
