In a final round which ended on Monday following an interruption of play, he was three strokes ahead of Eric van Rooyen and Min Woo Lee. Victor Perez and Matthieu Pavon rank 16th and 28th respectively this week in Florida.

We had to wait until Monday to witness the outcome of the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches. First interrupted in the middle of the day on Sunday due to bad weather hitting Florida, the night then forced the tournament to end on Monday.

With this last round in two days, it was ultimately the American Austin Eckroat who won by a margin of three strokes by delivering brilliant golf and avoiding the traps of the Bear Trap. Thanks to a card of 67 (-4), he won with a three-shot lead over Eric van Rooyen and Min Woo Lee. Thanks to this victory, he pocketed a check for $1 and entered the top 620 in the world: 000th.

Eric van Rooyen, left behind before the last round, could have created a surprise by avoiding bad weather: he started his last round with six birdies in six holes! His card of 63 (-8), although brilliant, is unfortunately insufficient for the final victory.

Victor Perez finished 16th this week with a final card of 70 (-1). This 16th place could perfectly launch the American season of the Tarbais, which marks its best performance on the American circuit in more than six months: the last to date was a nice top 15 during the 2023 US Open.

Matthieu Pavon finishes two strokes behind his compatriot in 28th position. Too bad for the French number 1 who ends his week with a double bogey at hole 18. He was down to -3 for the day and installed in the top 20. Despite this slight error, the blue white red flag continues to fly at the top of the FedEx Cup standings.
