The Arkea Omnium International Senior of the Basque Coast will take place on July 1 and 2, 2022 at Golf d'Arcangues. Tour legends such as Jean Van de Velde and Jean-François Rémesy are involved in the event. Teams of English, Swiss, Spanish and French pros and amateurs have announced their participation.

Heir to the prestigious golf championships played in the Basque Country in the 60s to 80s in the presence of some of the biggest names in golf (Aaron, Baker-Finch, Ballesteros, Faldo, Garaïalde, Langer and many others), the Arkea Omnium International Senior is open to professionals and amateurs (Index < 5,4) over 50 years old.

The Arkea Omnium International Senior will be played in doubles over two rounds: 18 holes in Greensome, 18 holes in Four-Ball. The teams will be composed of two pros, two amateurs or one pro and one amateur. The 2022 edition is sponsored by Jean Garaïalde.

The prize pool of €25 will be shared between the first fifteen teams, pros and amateurs. The Arkea Omnium International Senior will be one of the very first tournaments in France to offer a monetary prize open to amateurs (in accordance with the rules of the R&A).

Jean Van de Velde will team up with Laurent Lassalle, while Jean-François Rémesy will be associated with Jean-Pierre Sallat. Patrick Tallent (US Senior Amateur and British Senior Amateur champion) will compete in the event with Jon Krinn. Teams of English, Swiss, Spanish and French pros and amateurs have announced their participation.

The Arkea Omnium International Senior will end with a prize giving with your feet in the sand at Carlos Beach in Lafitenia (Saint-Jean-de-Luz).
