In an effort to continually improve the quality of play for golfers, the Approach S62 displays color maps and essential information for golfers on more than 41 courses around the world. With a 000 cm anti-reflective touch screen, it offers a high resolution display 3,3% larger than the previous model for better readability.

This new ergonomic, intuitive and elegant Approach S62 is presented on the Garmin stand (# 1812) of the PGA Merchandise Show 2020, from January 22 to 24 in Orlando (Florida)

Approach S62 unique and strategic features

Beyond functions such as Distance PlaysLike and Hazard View, the Approach S62 offers for the first time a Virtual Shopping Cart which takes into account the wind speed, the position of the hole and the history of the user to select the most suitable club for the next stroke. A must-have novelty imagined and designed to improve game performance.

The Approach S62 also offers many features that will accompany the user during his journey:

• pin pointer allows you to play a blind stroke and get the exact direction to the flag.
• PlaysLike Distance adjusts the distance according to the elevation of the hole.
• Hazard View offers golfers a vision of all the obstacles to avoid.
• Green view displays the actual shape of the green and allows the flag to be moved to calculate the distance with greater accuracy.
• Autoshot measures and records the detected distance of strokes.¹ This tracking function can also be combined with the Approach club sensors^Ò CT10, available as an option, for even more precise tracking details.

Garmin Golf ™: the application that supports the user in his development

By using the Approach S62 in conjunction with the Garmin Golf app, golfers will benefit from a deeper understanding of their game with new performance widgets. The application calculates the statistics which are then transmitted to the watch. Users can thus examine their handicap index, the percentage of approach / fairway hits passed / missed and the percentage of greens in regulation. The application even provides analyzes of shots won in putting and allows you to participate in rankings and tournaments with other golfers around the world.

The Approach S62, an everyday watch

Both essential on the greens with its many characteristics dedicated to the practice of golf, the Approach S62 will also be appreciated by its elegant design and its many features which will quickly make it essential in everyday life. Among other things, the watch offers a whole range of functions intended to promote well-being, such as wrist cardio technology, which displays the intensity of the user's sporting activities.

In order to better assess the general level of health and physical fitness of an individual, the watch incorporates a Pulse Oximeter sensor³ which measures the oxygen saturation levels of the blood.

The smartwatch also displays smart notifications⁴ allowing you to receive emails, texts, and alerts directly on your wrist. It also includes activity tracking features² and preloaded activity profiles for running, cycling, and even swimming. Finally, the introduction of Garmin Pay^Ô provides a contactless payment solution⁵ which makes it easy to pay for purchases with the watch.

Golfers will also benefit from more battery life: up to 20 hours in GPS mode and up to 14 days in smartwatch mode. Thanks to Quickfit bracelets^Ò interchangeable from Garmin, it's always just as easy to change the look of the watch, with options in leather, silicone, nylon or titanium.
