The few clouds that smeared the Norman sky on this Sunday morning did not prevent many spectators from coming to follow the last lap of the 5e edition of the Vaudreuil Golf Challenge.

As expected, the show was guaranteed and the hand à hand between the two leaders offered enthusiasts a high quality duel. It was only on the return that the Englishman Aaron Rai began to break away to gain the definitive advantage over his opponents and complete this last round with 5 strokes ahead of his pursuers. The Briton, with a total of -18 under par, wins the 2017 edition and signs his 3e success of the season which gives him the right, from next week, to participate in the Porsche European Open in Germany. Right of play which he will keep for the rest of the season.

With this victory, Aaron Rai also takes the lead of the general classification of the “Road to Oman”.

Danish Morten Ear space Madsen ranks 10e and the Chilean Mark tullo and Englishman Ryan Evans complete the podium with a 3e instead.

Tricolor side, Clément Sordet and Mathieu fenasse rank at 9e place while Dimitri Mary finished best French amateur for his first professional tournament.

The 2018 edition will take place from July 19 to 22.
