WHS: the main innovations

With the WHS:

  • A single system for calculating the index is applied worldwide and replaces the 6 which hitherto coexisted.
  • The index calculation is now based on an average of scores (average of the best 8 of the last 20 scores).
  • Scores achieved in a friendly game, in the same way as those achieved in competition, and under certain conditions (in particular having an index greater than 11.4), may count for the calculation of the index.

The ffgolf supports golfers in this transition

The ffgolf supports the entry into force of the World Handicap System by offering golfers a series of tutorials on the methods of the new calculation, and the conditions under which they will now be able to obtain and then change their index in a friendly game.

With the WHS, golf continues its revolution

The WHS is a continuation of the evolutions of the game of golf implemented in recent years (new golf rules published in 2019, Ready golf or “Prêt? Jouez!” Or even the new orange and purple starting marks), to facilitate access to the game.
