The American Billy Horschel won in the World Match Play Championship (WGC-Match Play) this Sunday in Austin (Texas), signing his sixth sixth title on the PGA Tour, ahead of his compatriot Scottie Scheffler (6 & 2) .

Billy Horschel, Tour Championship and FedEx Cup winner in 2014, took the lead from hole number 5, birding with a 13-meter putt, taking advantage of his opponent's bogeys on the 7th and 9th holes for widen the gap. “There are so many emotions, after so many twists and turns,” said Horschel, who knocked out Frenchman Victor Perez 3 & 2 in the morning's WGC-Match Play semi-final.

“It was a tough day. My two opponents did not putts, I did, and that's what made the difference today, ”he admitted.

Scottie Scheffler, 24, a stage regional since born in Dallas and former student in Austin, was aiming for a first victory on the circuit, after having to fight until the 18th hole in his semi-final against veteran Matt Kuchar (42 years old). In the match for 3rd place, the victory went (2 & 1) to the latter against Frenchman Victor Perez, who therefore finished 4th for his first participation in WGC-Match Play.
