47 teams made up of a professional player associated with 3 amateurs were able to savor the exceptional quality of the course specially prepared for 3 months for the Open.

Among the amateurs, there was a distinguished guest, more often used to hurtling down much steeper slopes, the triple medalist of the Paralympic Games in Sochi, Vincent GAUTHIER MANUEL.

Son of a ski slope groomer, Vincent set off to conquer snow-capped peaks from childhood. Later, he entered sports-study at the Collège des Rousses with his able-bodied friends. This 28-year-old Jurassian, nicknamed “Abraracourcix” was born without a left forearm.

Vincent returned from Sochi with three medals:

He started with bronze on the downhill, then on the special slalom, he won the silver medal and a few days later he reached the holy grail by winning the gold medal in the giant slalom.

Today, Vincent GAUTHIER MANUEL teamed up with two handball players, Olivier Lecocq and Nino Ourabah and the professional player Jake ROOS (RSA). They finished in 18th place in the ranking.

Always looking for new challenges, Vincent discovered the practice of golf 2 years ago thanks to his able-bodied friends from the resort of Les Rousses.
