This Thursday begins the 4e edition of the Vaudreuil Golf Challenge, for 4 days which promise to be intense and spectacular. A particularly strong player field, a pivotal moment in the season, a journey to come and a great sun, all the ingredients are there for a grand vintage.

From the Vaudreuil Golf Challenge to the Olympic Games there is only one step:

Although recent, the history of the Vaudreuil Golf challenge places the tournament as a real springboard, revealing the future world golf stars. To observe this, it suffices to analyze the players present at the biggest sporting event in the world: the Olympic Games! Byeong Hun An (Kor), Brandon Stone (RSA), Roope Kakko (Fin), Nino Bertasio (Ita), Gavin Kyle Green (Mas), Jose-Filipe LIMA or the winner of the 2015 edition Ryan Fox (NZ) have all shone in recent years on the fairways of Vaudreuil and will be present in Rio in August.

An evolving tournament and course:

The dazzling evolution of the Vaudreuil Golf Challenge could not have happened without the evolution of its course. Indeed the tournament is each year more intense and the course follows this dynamic brilliantly. This year alone, the start of hole number 5 has been completely redone and a lot of winter work on the greens has been done, with 2 sessions of "deep drilling" (drainage). An important work which bears fruit, with an optimal course for the 4 days of the tournament.

The gratin of the Challenge Tour and our French:

156 players of 26 different nationalities will compete in the first two rounds before the cut on Friday evening. Among these 156 players we find first of all the Top 5 of the Challenge tour which lays the foundations for an exceptional field. Among this Top 5, three French: Damien PERRIER, recent winner in the Czech Republic, Matthieu PAVON, current 3e of the Road To Oman or the leader of the French delegation this week, Roman LANGASQUE! Impressive is the word that qualifies Romain LANQUASQUE's season. Yet a novice in the professional world, he is currently in the 2e place de la road to Oman and is an undisputed favorite for victory. In addition to these 3 players, the quality of the tricolor field is simply incredible with for example Adrien SADDIER, winner last week, Clément SORDET, who recently participated in his first major, or Matthieu LAFON DECOTTIGNIES 16e and best French in the last French Open.

The owner of Golf PGA France du Vaudreuil, Jean-Claude FORESTIER, is very proud to welcome an exceptional field of players and awaits you in great numbers from Thursday 21 to Sunday 24 July under the Normandy sun.
