This Sunday took place the 4th and last round of the Vaudreuil Golf Challenge which saw the Swedish Alexander BJORK win. At the end of a perfectly mastered day, (-2), for a total score of (-14), the Swede seized the title and thus succeeded the New Zealander Ryan FOX.

The mastery of Alexander BJORK!

It was mastery that took the Swedish, Alexander BJORK, to win during the 4th edition of the Vaudreuil Golf Challenge. After two birdies on the outward journey and a birdie from the 1st hole on the return, the Swede was then in an excellent position. Ross KELLETT's double bogey on the 15th propelled him to the head of the tournament, he just had to hold on. A bogey on 14, corrected by a birdie on 15, then a bogey on 17 condemned him to a decisive 18th hole. Close to victory with two Top 10 and a Top 5 during these last four contested tournaments, the Swede was able to take advantage of his experiences to conclude with a Par at 18 and thus win the 4th edition of the tournament.

The Scandinavian, 19th in the “Road to Oman” before the tournament, jumped in the ranking of the 2nd European division! He is now in 3rd place, just behind Romain LANGASQUE, and can hope to join the top 15 at the end of the season, synonymous with accession to the European Tour in 2017.

The players who complete the podium are the English Aaron RAI and the Australian Nick CULLEN both authors of (-13) total. The Australian, leader yesterday, could not keep his head with a score card enamelled with four bogeys for one (+1) for the day.

A reaction SORDET!

Despite a great day at (-2), the best French this week, Clément SORDET did not manage to get involved in the fight. Indeed it had a day full of twists and turns. Like yesterday, the day had started badly by conceding two bogeys on holes 2 and 3. As always, the young tricolor did not let himself be destabilized and reacted magnificently with three birdies on holes 5, 7 and 8. However, as on the outward journey, our tricolor hardly started his return with a bogey from the 10th, but once again he showed us his ability to react with two birdies on holes 13 and 14. With a total of (-11) , he finished in 5th place and best French. A great week for a great hope of French golf who continues to evolve in his young professional career.

A last round of fire for BOUNIOL and SCIOT-SIEGRIST

The men of the day are the two tricolors, Cyril BOUNIOL and Robin SCIOT-SIEGRIST, authors of the best score of this Sunday: (-6). The two Frenchmen had an almost perfect day with five birdies, an eagle and only one bogey. A real performance knowing that only 29 players played under par today, which gives them tremendous confidence for the rest of the season.

This 4th edition of the Vaudreuil Golf Challenge has once again kept all its promises. Bright weather, total suspense and a spectacle of all times were on the program!
