David, an avid golfer, has visited over 1000 courses in a career that has seen him cover 100 major men's tournaments, including 35 Opens, 34 consecutive Masters, 17 Ryder Cups and all 12 Solheim Cup matches (the 13th will take place in Gleneagles in 2019).

Gary Silcock, golf director, commented: “David's new portfolio of images perfectly showcases our three championship golf courses and we have ordered this beautiful photo portfolio to highlight the enhancements to the King's Course and Queen's Course designed by James Braid. "

Both courses, regularly ranked in the Top 100 in the UK and Ireland (King's is Scotland's # 1 course), have been painstakingly restored to Braid's original design vision.

A major bunker renovation program was also carried out, further improving the playing experience.

“Braid has always wanted our bunkers to give golfers a 'glimpse' of the sand, while remaining stimulating and pleasing to the eye, which we have done by bringing the courses back to the way they were designed to be seen and played. . "

“This bunker work has also led us to change the fairways according to Braid's vision: we no longer have fairway bunkers in the rough, our bunkers are now in play and they are sitting in the fairways, which in some cases were built. 40% larger, making the gaming experience at Gleneagles more enjoyable ”added Gary.

David's new golf photography portfolio is the result of significant investment from new owners, Ennismore, as Gleneagles continues to advance in the luxury hotel industry, surpassing the glory days of the 1920s when this golf resort acquired a internationally renowned and was already "the place to be"

This investment is already recognized by visitors, and further highlighted by Gleneagles winning a trio of awards - "Best Golf Experience", "Best Pro Shop" and "Best Grand Hotel" - at the recent Scottish Golf Tourism Awards 2017.

Photographer David Cannon concluded: “Gleneagles is not only a very special place to visit, it is also wonderful to photograph with the scenic backdrop of the Ochil Hills and the rolling fairways of the King's Course and Queen's Course. It truly is golfers' paradise. "

The three Gleneagles courses will also host major events in 2018. The PGA Centenary Course will host the inaugural European Team Championships; The King's Course will host the 100th edition of the Scottish Stroke Play Championship, and the Queen's Course will host the second Mixed Championship for Scottish Golf.
