The 20th edition of the Simone Thion de la Chaume Trophy took place from April 26 to 28, 2018, for the first time on the century-old Biarritz le Phare course. The 69 players of the STC Cup launched this beautiful week of women's golf on Tuesday, April 24. It was finally at the Regina Biarritz that the participants celebrated the victory of the Englishwoman Jane Bennett for this 5th edition of the STC Cup.

Following the traditional Gala dinner, bringing together all the participants and sponsors at the Casino Bellevue in Biarritz, the 78 players of the Simone Thion de la Chaume Trophy set off for 3 days of competition.

At the start of the 3rd round, the French Christine Petit Martin took the lead, closely followed by the Belgian amateur Sylvie Van Molle, also a Sant Germain player, and the professional Anne-Marie Palli, who scored a 68 in the first round.

After 18 very tight holes, the Belgian Sylvie Van Molle, won the Simone Thion de la Chaume Trophy and won for a total of +7, one step ahead of Christine Petit Martin, who with her teammates Nathalie Lamboult , and Karen Nassy wins the Nations Trophy. Anne-Marie Palli, winner in 2016, finished in 3rd place.

Thanks to the generosity of the players of the Simone Thion de la Chaume Trophy and the STC Cup, the Life is Rose association raised nearly 3000 euros to fight against the precariousness of people with cancer.
