Despite not very optimistic weather forecasts, 98 players met this Sunday, June 4 on the magnificent golf course of Moliets to participate in the 9th stage of the 2017 edition of the “On the road to 2018” trophy organized by Open Golf Club. To notice among all the players, several nationalities with English, Dutch, Belgians, Spaniards or Germans and several teams came especially with the hope of qualifying for the Final like the team of the Bodin brothers came from the Palmola golf course in Toulouse. And all the players were able to appreciate the quality of the ground and the greens in particular, despite the rain! Well done to the whole golf team and to its new manager David Astruc. 3 precision competitions as well as a Ladies drive competition and a Gentlemen drive competition embellished this superb day of sport and conviviality.

Each stage is also a qualifying event for a place in the final organized on October 21 and 22 at the Golf National on the Albatros course, the course where the 2018 Ryder Cup will take place and all in the presence of Christian Cévaër and Mélodie Bourdy.

And it was in a very friendly atmosphere that the awards ceremony took place at the Club House, led by David Astruc, Christophe Gest, event manager and Hervé Decléty from Open Golf Club.
