The Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions, the first tournament of the LPGA season in Orlando last week, was a huge television success.

LPGA: the most watched season opening for 11 years

There were lots of people watching Gaby Lopez's victory live! The Tournament of Champions, which took place at the Four Seasons Golf & Sport Club in Florida, and featured the LPGA winners in 2018 and 2019, as well as celebrities from sports, television and film, was the most-watched LPGA Tour season opener in eleven years.

On average, 306 viewers per minute turned to Golf Channel and NBC during the tournament's four days of TV coverage. The event was viewed by over 000 million unique viewers, making the Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions the most-watched season opener since the 4,25 SBS Open at Turtle Bay.

The weekend's broadcast on NBC saw a significant jump with 587 viewers per minute on air and 000 viewers per minute watching the playoff between Gaby Lopez and Nasa Hataoka. The 821 LPGA Tour season continues this week with the Gainbridge LPGA in Boca Rio and live Golf Channel coverage of the four tours.
