For golfers who love a truly soft feel, the new DT TruSoft is the best performing ball in its class, a result of Titleist's research and development and the advanced technologies employed in the manufacturing phase. Created within the Titleist 2 production unit in New Bedford, Massachusetts, the DT TruSoft features a new core and new shell designed by Titleist R&D teams to ensure smooth compression with impressive distance and great handling at the level of the small game.

“The DT TruSoft is the latest addition to Titleist's soft compression technology at the core and shell level. The last three generations of DT balls have never ceased to offer players an ever softer feel, ”said Michael Mahoney, director, in charge of producing balls at Titleist. Through our extensive tests with golfers, we know there is a growing interest in an extremely soft touch, knowing that these golfers also demand performance on and off the green. The DT TruSoft embodies the perfect combination of the very soft feel and the overall performance you expect from Titleist in terms of distance and handling. "The DT TruSoft is significantly softer than the DT SoLo which already had the lowest compression in our range," adds Mahoney. And it surpasses other rivals in its category while competitors tend to sacrifice effects or distance depending on the balls they use. "

Technology and performance

The DT TruSoft was designed with a very fast and very low compression core and a soft pure ionomer shell - the softest core construction and smoothest blend for the envelope ever imagined by Titleist. New core and new casing work together to ensure a soft touch and unique sound on every hit with little effect on long shots for ever greater distances and a small, reliable play thanks to excellent handling on and off from the green. A tetrahedral design with 376 cells allows constant aerodynamic flight.

“This is the smoothest, most efficient DT model ever produced,” says Matt Hogge, Head of Titleist R&D Balls. We have balanced our combination of core and shell so that the feel is remarkable as is the performance on every stroke. When it comes to low compression golf balls, spin is often sacrificed for shots toward the green. A shot to the green that lacks spin will not properly stop the ball near the flagstick or simply hold it on the green. With some balls, it is not possible to make them "come back". We have avoided this pitfall with the DT TruSoft by maintaining good effects at the small game level. ”“ We have learned a lot in recent years about the low compression core technology that we have used for our dual core products, Hogge adds. We know how to formulate and manufacture this type of product on a regular basis so that each TruSoft ball generates the same level of touch and performance with each tee. We know golfers rely on this consistency, ball to ball, dozen to dozen. The DT TruSoft replaces the DT SoLo in the Titleist family of golf balls, staying true to the successful line-up heritage that regulars know as the Titleist "Red Box" emblem.
