The home team dominated on the foursome greens in the International Tag Team competition between the LPGA of Japan, Korean LPGA Tour, Australian Ladies Professional Golf and Ladies European Tour.

JLPGA won three of four games in foursomes and cut it in half to cause the biggest surprise since the 2015 game. Korean side KLPGA held a 24-12 lead on Matchday XNUMX, having won eight of their nine singles matches on Saturday, before the scores were reset before the final day.

Five of the nine members of the KLPGA squad had beaten the South Korean team of the US LPGA in the ING Champions Trophy the previous weekend and were in great favor to win The Queens presented by Kowa for the second time after their dominant performance in 2016 .

However, Japanese fans were delighted that the anchor match sealed the victory for the home team. JLPGA team captain Narita was quickly thrown into the air by her teammates amid jubilant scenes of chanting as the sun shone on the 18th green.

The ALPG take third place in the final on the LET

The ALPG team, led by Karrie Webb, secured third place after three days of foursomes with the LET team, led by Gwladys Nocera.

The Australians won two and a half games 5-3, each game worth two points.

European Solheim Cup star Florentyna Parker and South Africa's Lee-Anne Pace beat Webb and former captain Rachel Hetherington by 5 and 4, but the tide turned in favor of the Australians.

Sarah Jane Smith and Sarah Kemp beat the English duo Felicity Johnson and Holly Clyburn and then Stacey Peters and Katherine Kirk won their match against Nocera and Carly Booth.

Captain Gwladys Nocera said: “We knew before we came that the Australian team were probably the best they had in three years and that they were all in good shape. We knew they were strong and we did our best and I think we had some good duets. The atmosphere was great and I feel bad because I couldn't do my best today. "

Nocera has revealed that she has discussed her strategy with Catriona Matthew, captain of the 2019 Solheim Cup European team, and that she would like to continue to be involved in team golf.

“I would love to play the Solheim Cup. I told Beany about duets this week because I really trust her. She knows the course and she knows the players. I'll talk to him and see. She is the captain, she is the boss. I would love to do that. "
