European Qualifications kick off on Tuesday 31 May and Wednesday 1 June, the first highlight of the three selective events for the Evian Championship.

Created in 2014, the European Qualifications take place on the course of the Evian Resort Golf Club and give the two best players the opportunity to join the prestigious Major's plateau.

In order to further strengthen the positioning of the event in the selection process for the Evian Championship, the endowment was increased to € 20 (instead of € 000 in 10), distributed according to the criteria of the LET.

For this 3rd edition, 72 players including 6 amateurs will take part in the competition contested in stroke play over 36 holes. In total, 22 nations, mostly European, will be represented with a leading trio made up of France (21 players), Switzerland (6) and Scotland (6), but also India (1) or the Morocco (1).

"A real springboard to excellence, the Evian Championship continues to commit to revealing the talents of tomorrow and offering young players the opportunity to live the unique experience of a Major" recalls Franck Riboud, President of Danone and President of the Evian Championship.

Last year, the Danish Emily Kristine Pedersen (19) and the Czech Klara Spilkova (20) had perfectly transformed their selection during the Qualifications, signing very good performances, in the 25th and 55th places respectively of the Major.
